City of Mozart
Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart was born here in 1756. The world-renowned composer’s house can be seen in the city center where the museum is maintained as a museum.
Inside the big yellow house, there was a portrait of the whole family and the instruments it played and the original furniture of the house. Currently, visitors looking for music can find it in the State Theater.
City officials also preserve the homes of the two families. This house is much bigger than the first. Here, you will get an extra exhibit showing life as it is also a park and cafe.

The Sound of Music Tour
Mozart is not the only famous musician associated with this city. Many audiences around the world also recognize this city as the place where Sound of Music was filmed.
The four-hour tour takes visitors to the various locations featured in this movie. Travelers can see the places where Von Trapp’s family sings including St Gilgen and Mondsee where the movie’s wedding scenes are filmed.
The tour also includes the Mirabell Palace and Park where many outdoor scenes occur. The palace and gardens began in 1606 and are preserved today.
